Q. What settings can I change in the SIP configuration?
A. Display name, user name, password, domain, outbound proxy, and stun server.
Q. Can I use both WIFI and 3G to make SIP calls?
A. Yes. You can select either WIFI or OTA 3G.
Q. I only make outbound calls. Can I not register with my SIP domain?
A. Yes. If you do not wish to receive inbound call, you can un-check register with domain.
Q. Which codec does BlackVoib support?
A. BlackVoib only support G.711ulaw and G.711alaw.
Q. Which BlackBerry OS does BlackVoib run on?
A. BlackVoib runs on OS 4.6 and later.
Q. Why doesn't BlackVoib work on CDMA BlackBerry devices?
A.
The chips used in CDMA BlackBerry devices make duplex audio impossible.
We are planning a bluetooth headset to bypass this limitation.

A. BlackVoib works with most of the routers out there. Make sure to specify a STUN server.
Q. Does BlackVoib allow dialing from the BlackBerry phone book?
A. Yes.

Q. How long can a conversation last?
A. As much as you want. The longest conversation we have tested is about 90 minutes.
Q. How long does the battery last in standby mode?
A.
That depends on if you are connected via OTA or WIFI. When WIFI is
used, we found that a full charge can last for a few days. When
connected via OTA, a full charge lasts no more than 10 hours.
Q. Which SIP and RTP stack is BlackVoib based on?
A. None. They are both home grown.
Q. Does BlackVoib support SIP short form headers.
A. Yes.
Q. How can I get support for BlackVoib?
A. Please use discussion forums for support or contact us at support@blackvoib.com.
